My short trip home

First off, I will get better at posting everyday, PROMISE!

Okay! So I am officially a senior in college as I said last time. Though I am taking summer classes, yay, I had about a week before I had to be back, so being the awesome person I am, I went home for a few days. So here is a quick recap of what I did!

On Saturday, I went to my friend Jordan's college graduation party! It was a luau theme and it was such a blast! I'm super grateful that I decided to go! Say hello to North Carolina's newest Special Education Teacher! So proud of her and grateful to have her as a friend.

On Sunday, like most people in the world who love their moms, I celebrated my amazing mother! We went to church, then my dad, sister, and I took her to dinner at Liberty Steakhouse in High Point, NC. (If you haven't been there, you should definitely check it out. There is also one in Myrtle Beach, SC) Anyway, after dinner, we went back to my parent's house and my sister and I gave mom our gifts. Now this is where it gets awesome. After church, me and my sister took pictures with my mom for Mother's Day like always. We got one on my cell phone so we could go down the road to CVS and get it printed out and put in a frame to add to the present we had already gotten her! Cool, right? We were real proud of ourselves. So in addition to the framed Mother's Day picture, we also got our awesome mom some potted plants for the back porch. They were so pretty! (Unfortunately, I forgot to snap a picture of them.) My mom is amazing and I love her very much. I love getting to celebrate her! :)

So then on Monday, I got to hang out with two of my best friends! That morning I went shopping and to lunch with my amazing friend Morgan. We had a great talk and it was so good to see her again and get to have some real girl talk! Then later that afternoon, I went to hang out with my best friend of many years, Kelsey! We painted our nails and just had great conversation. The time I spent with her was truly a blessing because we hardly ever get to just spend time together since both of us go to school away from home (actually our schools are rivals!). I am definitely glad that I got to see those girls Monday. God blessed me with them and I am so grateful.

On Tuesday, I went with my mom and her good friend Mary Ann to see Sister Act in Durham! The show was so good. Great music, fabulous dancing, and lots of laughing. So much fun!

And that brings us to today! Today was nothing special. I packed up my things and came back to Boone. I won't be leaving again until Sunday when I get to go to Charlotte to see my Timothy for the first time in 2 months and 4 days! I cannot express to you how excited I am!

**Be on the lookout for a guest post from my good friend Hayley!**

With love, Carly &hearts:
